Born in Rome, where he began studying dance at The National Academy.
In 1991 was one of the winners of the Rieti competition receiving the special prize of “Young Talent”.
In 1992, just after graduating he joined the Corps de Ballet of The Scala Theatre, where he is currently a Soloist.
He has danced soloist roles in the most important titles of the Classical repertoire, choreographed by Nureyev, Cranko, Markarova, Lander, Schaufuss, Fokine, MacMillan, Balanchine, and also in modern and contemporary ballets: Ailey, Kylian, Stevenson, Tetley, Hynd, Bigonzetti, Forsythe, North, Petit, Ek, Neumeier, Bejart, Robbins, Scholtz.
He has danced the following roles as principle dancer: James in La Sylphide (Schaufuss), Albrecht in Giselle (Ek), Cheri in Cheri (Petit) partnering Carla Fracci (and he has frequently partnered Fracci in performances outside of La Scala’s productions), Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (MacMillan), The Darkness in Excelsior, (Dell’Ara), Don José in Carmen (Petit), Albrecht in Giselle choreographed by Guillem, and with the same role obtaining great success on the tours to The United States, London and Spain; Phoebus in Notre Dame de Paris (Petit) dancing with Alessandra Ferri, and in the same cast Massimo Murru as Quasimodo and Manuel Legris as Frollo, Espada in Don Quixotte (Nureyev), the Intruder in "The Cage" (Robbins), the principal couple in "Rubies" (Balanchine), Paysans Pas des Deux in "Giselle" (Chauvirée), Puck and The Cavalier in "Midsummer Night's Dream" (Balanchine) and with the same role obtaining great success on the tours to Brasil, Mexico, Greece, Turkey and Ciprus, Don José in "Carmen" (Amodio), Matto in "La Strada" (Pistoni), 4° Couple in "Petite Mort" (Kylian), 1° Movement in "Jeune Homme" (Scholtz), Ulrich in "La Chauve-souris" (Petit).
He was chosen as principle dancer in “Homage to Rota” the creation choreographed by Mauro Bigonzetti for The Scala Theatre.
In 2002 he was awarded the “Leonide Massine Prize” at Positano. In prize winning Gala he danced “In the Middle Somewhat Elevated” by Forsythe.
In December 2002 he was invited by the Alvin Ailey Dance Company to take part in "The River", performed at the gala celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the Associate Director of the same Company, Chaya Masazumi.
In April 2003, he was invited by "Teatro Nuovo di Torino" to dance the pas de deux of Giselle (Mats Ek) with Pompea Santoro.
